There is something about Lyora’s creation that ties it back to the very source of creation. In some sense, one could even claim that Lyora’s demiurgic creations stem straight out of the Bible’s very first book: Genesis. One could, without too big a stretch of the imagination, see in Lyora’s an evocation of the first five days of the Creation – the moment where the world exists prior to man’s existence, when things lay on earth in their pristine purity, their mineral purity, unspoiled. – An evocation of the foremost pre-Anthropocene era, where the cosmos was not prey yet to the decaying, destructive impact of mankind.

Landscapes are windows into nature through which humans can connect more intimately with the majestic spaces they inhabit, they accompany us on our journey inwards, perhaps in our desire to mirror their undeniable stability and peace, within ourselves. Through endless varieties of color, my work distorts the habitual landscape form, blending the digital into the traditional and blurring the elusive nature of reality itself. Worlds are created and connected through endless layers of color, offering an inwards perspective into an inevitably self created reality, where anyone can defy the very own law of gravity.
