Light, Landscape, & Illusion
This body of work unfolds at the intersection of painting, space, and perception. Rooted in the tradition of landscape, each piece is an invitation into a world both imagined and deeply felt, where colour, composition, and atmosphere converge to suspend observation in a state of pause.
Hand-painted landscapes serve as anchors for an evolving visual language—one that integrates light technologies such as projection mapping, LED arrays, and digital overlays to dissolve the boundaries between the material and the immaterial. These tools are not used as spectacle, but as a means to expand the emotional and optical range of the painted image.
Some works incorporate these technologies; others remain entirely analogue, grounded in the tactile intimacy of brushwork and surface. Across both, the aim is consistent: to create spaces that feel at once still and shifting, intimate and expansive. They invite presence, movement, and wonder, where the boundary between what we see and what we feel begins to dissolve.
